Niche locality vouchers as a great promotional gift

I attended a seminar recently and the speaker was talking about this great promotional campaign they ran for a travel agency. It was ingenious I must say, with a great use of locality vouchers as a promotional gift.

The travel agency basically helps their free-n-easy travelers to book hotels for stay during their trips. Now in addition to having competitive lodging prices, the travel agency gives their customers a booklet of vouchers which they can use in the establishments next to the hotel. Think 15% off a foot massage, get a promotional gift with a suit tailored or free dessert with a main course ordered.

It’s a classic win-win-win situation. The customer gets more value, their neighbouring establishments get publicity and business, and the travel agency gets tremendous branding and marketing goodwill.

The same concept can be applied in many establishments. If you own a restaurant, think of tying up with your neighbouring fashion and accessory boutiques. If you own a laundry, think of tying up with your neighbouring DVD rental or fruit shake stalls.

Be absolutely creative, and you will find marketing using an ingenious promotional gift to be absolutely rewarding.
