A corporate gift that earns money

JC Decaux has presented the city of Paris with a unique corporate gift. They have set up bicycle rental points, equipped it with bicycles, and have presented to the people in and visiting Paris a nice eco-friendly way to get around town. They have covered the entire cost of the project and are endorsed by the city government. But who really is paying for the project?

Registered users pay 29 euros a year, while occasional users can rent by the hour. With 13,000 users already registered, the cost of the 10,000 bicycles in circulation is practically already paid for. And with exclusive rights to the 1,600 bicycle kiosk hoardings, thousands of advertising dollars will be earned. So JC Decaux’s unique corporate gift to the city of Paris will actually be revenue generating for them!

This is creative corporate giving at its best. Companies with the financial muscle should really consider such unique corporate giving. Build shelters where it is needed and fund it with advertising. Build walkways where it is needed and do the same. Not only does the project have a potential to earn revenue, tremendous public goodwill is developed for your organization.

Rethink your corporate gifts.
