An intimate memory of Raffles


I heard this story today as I was talking to a business associate about hotel souvenirs and gift merchandising.

My contact recounted with delight about this gift that he got when he checked into Raffles Hotel some time back. Apparently when he checked in, the check-in staff took a picture of him and his wife. Not knowing what to expect, he merely dismissed it off as a hospitable gesture.
