Well, an example I saw at the grocery store today proves that promotional gifts can do just that, increasing sales, should you give appropriately.
F&N this year bundled four 1.5L bottles of soft drinks in a clear promotional PP bag and retailed the bag at $6. I initially wanted to buy 6
bottles, but I just grabbed 2 bags in the end, buying 8 bottles. If every
customer were to be like me, the increase in sales of 2 bottles would have more than redeemed the cost of the promotional PP bag. Besides, I was happy with my purchase as I got 2 free bags. Great goodwill built by F&N during the festive season.
